2nd week 30th Jan-1st Feb – Peak district – Orpheus Caving Club
This weekend trip will be on Friday 30th January to Sunday 1st February 2026. We will be staying in the Orpheus Caving Club cottage in Buxton. Derbyshire offers some great caving, and the cottage is close to the caving systems of Monyash, Lathkill Dale and the Manifold Valley, and not very far from Castleton. 4th week 13-15th Feb – South Wales – South Wales Caving club
This weekend trip will be on Friday 13th February to Sunday 15th February 2026. We will be staying in the SWCC hut at Penwyllt, close to the OFD cave system. OFD offers a range of trips to suit all abilities - and some super streamways! Trips to this area are a favourite with OUCC. Organiser: Rosa Clements rosa.clements@somerville.oxon.net
6th week 27 Feb-1st Mar – Mendips— BEC
This weekend trip will be on Friday 27th February to Sunday 1st March 2026. We will be staying in the Bristol Exploration Cub hut near Priddy, at the heart of the Mendip caving area. Mendip has a huge variety of caves, many with less vertical development than some of the other areas, and the hut is close to the iconic Hunter's Inn in Priddy! 7th week 6-8th March – Yorkshire – YSS
As the last trip in HT, we are going to Yorkshire—an area that offers some
remarkable caves - many of them are deep and really require some
training/experience of SRT techniques. There are many caves to choose from, and
we will be able to offer trips suitable for all levels of experience. Although
it is recommended to join at least one SRT training session before coming to
this trip.
