My van is showing a noticeable list to port, and this, slide 38, must be the return to UK, stopping for an ascent of the big dune (French coast). I had broken the suspension and we were using the spare tyre in an ingenious way to hold it up. It still veered horribly if the steering wheel was not gripped tenaciously. It was scrapped soon after the return, (as was the Bedford was in 66). By 68 I got better at bodging and held the A35 together for at least one more MOT after it too partly collapsed. Good mechanical education tho..
